PROJECT ALPHA-SAVE THE DATE
Greetings in the name of Alpha!
This is a reminder that Zeta Omicron Lambda will be hosting a Project Alpha Program next Tuesday, November 30th 2010. The venue will be:
Maritime Academy Charter High School (Home of the Dean of Students Brother James Washington)
2275 Bridge Street
Building 107
Philadelphia, PA 19137
12:30 pm - 4:00pm.
The Project Alpha committee consists of:
Brothers Donnell Sheppard, Gus Tolson, Reginald Cooper, Curtis White, Randy Gordon, and O.Codrington.
We are actively soliciting the participation of all brothers who may be available to show support for one of our national programs.
Program Information:
· Key note speaker has been identified: Brother- Dr. James Wadley (Psychologist and Chair of one of Lincoln University’s masters program-pledged at Hampton in 94).
· The school representative will select about 40 or more students to participate.
· The school will like an on-going relationship with Alpha Phi Alpha and ZOL in the areas of mentorship and other programs.
· The Committee is also working with Sulaiman Wood of Resources for Children’s Health to identify the following:
o Workshop on preventative measures for STDs
o The impact on the lives of minors who have unprotected sex.
· We also have literature from the March of Dimes on teen pregnancy and child birth related issues to distribute.
All participation is welcome. Please reply if you will be able to participate. Let’s move onward and upward with our fraternal year.
